“Spa treatment was inadequate as facial was 40 minutes long and not 50 minutes as it was stated in brochure. It was more of a shoulder and scalp massage than a good facial. There was no bed for Chico our Poochon and our bed mattress was sunken in and the pillows were like ‘ concrete ‘…. One young receptionist had not a clue and very much untrained as we asked for our evening meal bill minus our allowance! Will not be back!”

“Hotel in a lovely setting staff helpful and friendly My dog Monty enjoyed his treats and attention! We would stay there again if in the area It was a shame the weather was so hot so we couldn't do much walking with the dog but we had a lovely relaxing stay”

“Netherwood is a visually stunning hotel in a great setting and very convenient for access to Grange over Sands. However the hotel is a bit tired and is in need of some renovation and updating. Notwithstanding that the food was good and the staff were excellent. I think it has the potential to be great with some investment put in.”

“Excellent location! Excellent service. Great food. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless! Only thing missing was a poo disposal bin closer to Rockcliff house for our dog. We only have good things to say and would stay again! Whole package was excellent and pet treats were a lovely suprise!”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Recommend dining in bar area as more cosy and log fire. Same menu as the main restaurant.

“Main building, amazing. Log fires, deep sofas, lovely food, lovely staff. Avoid their seperate Rock House bedrooms. They are very tired, dirty bathroom with mould, resembling a Butlin's Camp Chalet. The main building is amazing. Views right across the bay. You need to book the spa in advance as guests do not get any preference. Staff super friendly and efficient, although re-stocking side plates and granola at breakfast needs 24hr notice!”

“Stayed in Rock house room, beautiful views over the bay big windows as well as being clean and comfortable , got really lucky with the weather, lovely sunny days. Staff where all very helpful and food was really good. Ate in the bar area with Lola our 1 year old Cocker spaniel, we were made so welcome and Lola made lots of friends with staff and other guests! Well done everyone at Netherwood, we really enjoyed our break. Not been here before but very happy to recommend.”

“Beautiful old country hotel. Extremely doggy friendly. We had a superior double room it had a superb view of the estuary. We loved the extra gifts from pet Pyjamas, prosecco, doggy treats and extra late check out. You can eat with your dog at your side in the bar area which is super. All the log fires were lit which adds to the historic atmosphere of the hotel. The staff are amazing and make your stay feel special and the spa treatments we booked were tremendous. You can walk your dog in the morning on the grounds it's a bit tricky in places but the promenade is at the end of the drive. Great hotel and well run.”

“We had an amazing time at this beautiful hotel. They really were brilliant with my pup who was a little noisy at times and quickly thought the lounge was actually his own home........ Very friendly staff, great deal from Pets Pyjamas, all went very smoothly.”
