Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Great dog friendly hotel
We had an amazing time at this beautiful hotel. They really were brilliant with my pup who was a little noisy at times and quickly thought the lounge was actually his own home........ Very friendly staff, great deal from Pets Pyjamas, all went very smoothly.

Wow what a stunning place, reminisent of the haunted mansion yet with modern amenities like a gym, spa and 4 EV charging points, Excellent. Staff were very welcoming to pets and I would rate the breakfast as the best hotel breakfast ever.

Booked the hotel as a birthday treat for my partner . What an awesome hotel .... Loved every minute of our stay, great staff , awesome breakfast and a great choice for the evening meal . Will certainly return . Izzy our chocolate Labrador also loved it, especially the treat box and toy waiting for her on arrival and lots and lots of sniffing spots around the lovely gardens

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff are lovely and it's clear that they are a very happy team. Our dog, Sara, was treated so nicely. We had a table by the fire in the bar for our meals, and Sara was offered sausages, which she appreciated. The grounds are really special, and there were enough options for exercising Sara. Our room, number 21, had a bit of a Cinderella feel to it, being up the little staircase on the top floor, with a view of the narrow area at the back (which was clean and tidy). The room clearly had heating issues, as there were two auxiliary electric heaters supplied; and the bathroom was VERY cold. The bed was quite uncomfortable: two single beds pushed together with no under blanket to bridge the uneven gap, and really hard as well. I would not want to stay in that room again. The menu looked good. As vegetarians, our options were limited for dinner. The puddings, though, were especially delicious! We each had a massage in the spa. I would describe mine as 'efficient'.

Dear Mrs Hammond, Thank you for taking the time to share such a balanced review following your stay at Netherwood Hotel & Spa. I'm really pleased to hear you enjoyed the grounds and the warm welcome from the team, and that Sara was made to feel just as at home as you were. It’s always lovely to know our dog friendly touches are appreciated. That said, I’m very sorry to read about the comfort issues in Room 21. The heating and bed configuration you describe are certainly not the experience we want our guests to have, and your comments have been shared with the hotel so they can review both the temperature control and mattress setup. Period properties do have their quirks, but comfort should never be compromised. I’ve also passed on your feedback regarding the cold bathroom. I’m glad you enjoyed the puddings, though I appreciate the vegetarian dinner choice felt limited. Menu balance is something the kitchen continually reviews, and feedback like yours genuinely helps. Likewise, your comments about the spa treatment have been noted so the team can ensure the experience feels relaxing rather than simply efficient. I do hope you would consider returning, perhaps in an alternative room type or dog friendly hotel as we have a wide selection available. Kind regards PetsPyjamas
