Historic hoitel overlooking the market square. Overall the hotel is in fantastic condition for its age but there are some little signs that further work is required to maintain its great standard. These little faults in no way spoiled or impacted our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly both to ourselves and the two dogs accompanying us and made every effort to ensure that their stay was as memorable as ours. Although the dogs were no allowed in the restuarant area the staff arranged a quiet spot in the bar area to allow us to have the dogs in attendance whilst we eat our evening meal. Hotel is situated in a prime location for historical sight seeing and for great dog walks. Majority of the local shops and bars allow access to dogs also.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? My only suggestion would be that unfortunately our dog has allergies so has to have grain free treats. The treats on arrival and in the bar were unsuitable for her but we were offered them.
Well the booking said it was dog friendly and it certainly was. Vera our Border Terrier and us thoroughly enjoyed our stay, lovley andclean, great food and drink selection. All the staff were super friendly and make us feel very welcome. It was perfectly situated in the town. We have already told friends about this hotel

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Lovely to stay in a great hotel with a dog and not be put in an awful room. This has happened to us before!
Gorgeous hotel, lovely spacious room and very comfy bed. Could find no faults! Food was amazing and staff were lovely. Would definitely go back again.

Great food, service, wonderful staff, just a bit too noisy for our pooches, especially on the Friday when we arrived to round the gauntlet of a young wedding that had clearly been in full swing for a while. Would avoid if you want a relaxing weekend with your pooches, or at least check ahead if there are any scheduled dos!

Had a recent stay at this lovely hotel in the centre of Richmond and what it made it special are the staff. They absolutely loved our dogs and everyone else’s dogs oh and the welcomed the human guests too! The rooms are huge and very quirky as due to it being an old coaching house, hardly any of the door frames or doors are straight but this just adds to the genuine warmth of the surroundings. The bar and lounge areas are very comfortable with a great choice of dog treats and some very nice food and beers too. We can’t wait to go back and hope it will be soon.

Felt very welcome from the start, room was pleasant with a huge bed. Apart from the restaurant, Dogs could access all areas. For breakfast and dinner, reserved tables were set out in the bar, allowing you to eat with your dog. The Hotels position was perfect for the busy town square with many restaurants, pubs, cafes and independent shops all dog friendly. The break was secured with a deal from pets pyjamas which we thought was great value. Richmond had some great dog walks.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? No outdoor seating area as mentioned on their website but maybe seasonal
Just returned from a two night break. Have to admit was a little worried as first time in a hotel with Monty. It's easy to find being an imposing building in the square. There is plenty of parking around but we opted to pay for hotel parking which I would do again. Just made it easier. Dogs are allowed in the big bar area (hardwood floor) or the lounge which had lot's of sofa. The staff make this place. Even when busy they were smiling and accommodating. They couldn't be more attentive to Monty the dog. Water was brought without asking. Treats were given aplenty and pretty much everyone came to say hello. They all knew his name. The room was a good size. Think if I had two dogs I would upgrade to a bigger one but that's personal preference. There were loads of toiletries in the bathroom. A quirk is a rubber duck which Monty nearly had. There is plenty of tea/coffee and a coffee machine. We found the bed huge! And comfortable. The food available was plentiful and tasty. Breakfast included a sausage for Monty on each day. The vast staircase in the hotel, although a feature, would hinder people with mobility issues. Would I return. Definitely. Thank you to all the staff from Monty
