“The welcome was so friendly & the whole team made us feel relaxed & welcome throughout the weekend. The dogs were treated with as much respect as we were & were catered for very well with drinking water available in the bar areas & doggie sausages arriving chopped into bowls for them each breakfast time. The bar area where we could eat meals keeping the dogs with us was warm (carpeted) & as nicely decorated as the rest of the hotel, we didn't feel like we were tucked out of the way or treated any differently to the guests in the dog free restaurant. The grounds are excellent for safe, secure dog walking with open grass areas, woods & water. My dogs loved it. The hotel recommended room 18 as it was a large size for us with 2 big dogs & it suited us very well. A slight criticism is that the bathroom was very tired with somewhat tatty decor, needs upgrading, but it was very clean & didn't spoil the break.”

“Stayed here on a two night festive package with our boarder collie. The staff were both plentiful and extremely helpful. The food was of a very high quality excellently cooked, and lots on offer at all times. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would we stay again. YES. And look forward to it.”

“Fantastic place to stay everyone was so helpful. Pip our dog loved it sausage every morning. Great with the insulin we had to take for her too kept in fridge . Would go again.”

“We had a lovely couple of days staying at Bagden Hall with Cooper our dog. The grounds of the hotel are perfect for dog walks and situated just by the lakeside lodges. It was very relaxing, tranquil and picturesque. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the foot was very enjoyable. Cooper loved his sausage for breakfast every morning. The reason I didn’t give a 5* rating is that the room was rather dated decor wise but it was spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend.”

“This hotel is lovely for dog owners. All the staff welcome dogs, especially Head Chef Carl, who gave our very happy dog a bonus dinner! The grounds are perfect to let your dogs roam free and we were seated in the lovely blue room with 3 other dog owners for dinner and breakfast, which was great. The food was delicious and we decided to eat there both nights. The hotel was busy with weddings, which was fine as you couldn't hear it from the bedrooms. The wedding on the second day was a bit rowdy, but I guess the arguing added entertainment to our evening meal. The room decor was a little dated, but completely understandable after the pandemic and overall very clean anyway. Overall a lovely stay.”

“We had a lovely comfortable stay with our 2 spaniel Xs stunning scenery, high standard room, great dinner and good breakfast. Staff very friendly we would definitely recommend!”

“We had an absolutely fantastic time at Bagden Hall. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming with our big friendly rotty. Our room was in the main hotel, with a huge bed and spacious bathroom, and an amazing view of the beautiful grounds. The doggy dining room was brilliant and it was great to chat to other dog owners- Rocky loved meeting new friends too!”
