“The hotel was really pet friendly and they could go anywhere. Hotel impeccably clean . Staff were very helpful and friendly but still very attentive. Food superb. Thoroughly recommend”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I would recommend brining your own dog bed however as the one offered was not much more than a blanket.

“The plan was to enjoy long walks with our dog and then sit and enjoy a drink or 2 with the papers, followed by a lazy meal. The plan had to be adjusted due to an injured dog, so more time with the papers and a pint The Jack Russell seemed perfect for plan A, and it proved to be an equally good match for plan B. A lovely room (maybe a little too hot but that is what windows are for), a cosy corner in the bar and an excellent menu. We did manage a couple of short walks in the local area and found plenty to tempt us back when Pippa is fully recovered. The bar was welcoming and the food offered choice and quality. We have already decided that we will return”

“What a gem of a place. Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Perfect for a get away from it all. Staff just brilliant. Friendly and helpful. The food well that was something else. It was superb. Thank you to the team for making our mini break perfect.”

“This was such a stunning location, rooms were amazing and the comfiest bed, food was fantastic, atmosphere was so homely and comfy and just perfect. We stayed for one night, for a birthday but also as a first trip away overnight with a new puppy - it couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone was so fantastic and welcoming, so well catered for dogs and it's honestly one of the best stays we've ever had. Cannot wait to come back!”

“The bulldog room with garden was perfect for our stay. Loved the extra doggie treats in the room, that dogs could go everywhere and the pooch guest book. The only thing that we felt was that the team there weren’t that friendly. That could be the north south divide and anything we asked they did it was just the smiles and warmth we missed from them. Pooches we’re well looked after though. An idilic venue for us. We loved the room and enjoyed our stay.”

“My husband, Alfie our cockapoo and I stayed for 2 nights in a family suite located in their courtyard aptly named ‘The Dog House’ It was very clean and of a great standard. We ate in the restaurant both nights and were not disappointed. You can’t stay here without walking through the stunning countryside. Topped off by a beer when you return in the lovely gardens. Staff were all friendly and provided a good service from the moment we arrived to when we left. A great couple of relaxing days. Alfie especially loved his dog biscuits and doggy beer!”
