Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The staff at the hotel are very welcoming to human and dog guests. However some aspects of the hotel are tired.

“This hotel is in a beautiful spot with lovely grounds and the staff are warm and friendly. My dog was very welcome. However the building interior is a bit tired. The evening meal I chose was not cooked well.”

I couldn't open the windows in my room so I got a bit hot and when the fire alarm woke me up I did wonder how we might escape if the fire was in the corridor.. Personally I don't like a pile of cushions on my bed. My evening meals were fine but some my friends had were rather small and disappointing eg the monkfish ravioli.

“The hotel is conveniently located and easy to find. Check-in and -out were straigtforward. The well-maintained grounds are extensive and varied. Our room was large and had everything one needs for a short stay. The pleasant, well-trained, staff were available but not intrusive. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The bar area, restaurant and breakfast room were comfortable and inviting. My dog loved it - eagerly pulling me upstairs to our room or downstairs for an adventure and some doggie socialising. It was perfect for a quiet stay of a couple of nights.”

“After years of travelling to Cornwall for our holidays, we decided to extend our holiday this year, while breaking our journey, and risk a dog friendly hotel for a couple of nights. We were both delighted and surprised that Hatttie could accompany us throughout the holiday. She loved the grounds, and we were equally excited to be able to see Kingfishers by and over the river. Our only regret is that we hadn't booked longer so We could take advantage of the advertised walks around the locality”

“We absolutely loved our time at The Fox and hounds country hotel. Myself and my dog Tommy were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Extremely dog (and human) friendly. Lovely walks and a great time playing in the river Taw with all the other dogs. All the staff were amazingly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back. Thank you so much. Janet and Tommy xx”

“Staff were excellent, restaurant a very high standard, dogs so welcome. Our room was exceptional, the weather was dreadful but we so enjoyed our few days due to the Hotel being so very comfortable.”

“Lovely hotel, beautiful grounds, super friendly staff and SO welcoming to dogs. Food was good, well presented and reasonably priced. Our 13 year old lab loved her holiday almost as much as us!”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The dinners were disappointing ..posh sounding menu but actual food was minimal and dissapointing . And didn’t receive the pets pack which was part of our deal

“Lovely hotel, staff lovely, friendly and helpful . Bed very comfortable and good size . Food brilliant Would only suggest the serve more choice of wine by the glass but would stay there again as so much walking and exploring to do around that area”
