Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? no
Did you feel your stay was good value for money? no
Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Would have felt like value for money, if we had received what we should have received, and we weren’t made to feel like an inconvenience from the outset.
All staff lovely, except for blonde haired woman on reception. Food was good, room was good. Hotel on main road, was not aware of this until arrival. Dog friendly. Our welcome was non existent, wanted to do a u turn and return home, did not receive afternoon tea on arrival, and staff did not know which package we were on. The waiting on staff were brilliant as were the domestic staff. The woman on reception needs further training in customer service.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We were in Room 24 which was pricey, but worth it for the extra TV room and space in the bedroom - Room 16 would be the same below?
We used the Talbot for a 4 day break to explore Yorkshire and it was difficult to leave the Hotel!! The service in all areas was unbelievable, whether in Reception from Laura and Naomi; the food service to us by Saraya (who seemed to be working every shift that involved us eating!!) and the two incredibly mature young men in the bar, Angus and Alfie!! Nothing was too much trouble, especially when moving us when one of our dogs decided to take himself off back to our room without us noticing!! Wonderful place with great gardens and top-drawer staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice hotel with great food, and best of all its own field to let the dog have a run round, only downside is local town is very quiet and everything is closed by 8.
