“This is a huge book! It is a tremendous work, full of photos, diagrams, maps and information; the author has made a superb job of it. For someone who doesn't know much about the Battle of Arnhem it is a must have. However........I am a long-time student of this particular operation, have many books on the subject and have been there many times to walk the ground and explore. I regret to say that this book doesn't tell ME much more than I didn't know already and most of the photos I'd seen previously in other publications or online. The sections on German units were the most informative for me. The maps and diagrams are excellent although again, similar versions are in every other Arnhem book. Notwithstanding my personal experience, it is still a wonderful book that will grace any bookshelf!”
