Lone Peak 1.5 Zero Drop Trail Running Shoes Red Mens Reviews

4.4 Rating 10 Reviews
Brilliant shoes for all but the muddiest of terrain. I have tries all the top zero drops and these are best so far for me as they have enough cushioning to allow for longer runs. One and only gripe is that the laces are too loom and keep coming undone but can be remedied by using elastic toggle ones I suppose.

I have been looking for a pair of these for ages, as the new lone peaks are just plain ugly, regardless of the improvements made to actual performance. They are supremely comfortable, the wide toebox is perfect for my wide feet, where i usually struggle these days to get shoes that fit without squashing my toes, or being way too long to overcome that problem. They are actually very light, despite what some reviews might say about them being heavy, they are fit for purpose. the one downside is that they are HOT, way hotter than expected. Its strange because i can feel the breeze on the top of my foot through the upper mesh, but my feet still sweat in them. Its annoying because i wanted to wear them without socks. They are totally seamless inside which is perfect for going sockless, but sadly that is impossible. they are however acceptably cool with a decent pair of socks on. Overall, i love them, but they are perhaps more of an autumn/winter shoe.

Having only discovered Altra running shoes recently, with my first pair being a Lone Peak 3, I took a chance buying a Lone Peak 1.5 unseen, by mail order. They're great: not quite as good as the LP3, but they are good to run in, and the fit is what I hoped for. I'm happy with my purchase.

Nice wide toe-box is a welcome change from my old trail shoes. Comfy, good looking shoe with a decent level of off-road grip in all but the muddiest conditions. Too early to say if the zero drop cushioning will suit my injury prone calf's, but after a few runs all seems well.

I love these shoes, just bought my second pair, excellent shape and fit and great for trails. Not exceptional grip but good enough for most terrain. Tongue position sometimes moves and maybe the latest iteration is better but I've yet to find out. Good general protection from stones. Overall very happy with these and great if you want roomy zero drop shoes. Recommend Altra shoes.

A well made shoe and good value price. Be aware that these come a little bigger than the equivalent Hokas ..... and certainly bigger than Innov8 . This was ok as I discussed this with retailer first and wanted something big enough for extra pair of thick sock/goretex bootees. The treat is just about ok for slippy/gnarly trails ...... I tested them on a 25 mile trail run at the weekend. Not sure about the funny flaring on the back of the heel. I guess I will snip this off at some stage.

This is a replacement for a pair I already own and I'm very pleased with.
