A fantasic alternative to a luggage rack! These superb quality, 100% waterproof bags give a massive 50 litres of extra storage space and can be fitted and removed in minutes. Made from nylon coated PVC which is then high frequency welded so there are no holes from sewing for the water to get in. Measures 70cm x 36cm x 20cm making them suitable for just about any car with a boot lid!

“Prompt delivery as ever from MX5parts. Boot Bag was easy to fit and straps cut to size. First trip was around UK covering over 500 miles including driving through a monsoon. Bag stayed completely dry and never moved on the boot. One tip is to put an elastic band around the straps before clicking in position. Holds the free end of the strap and stop them flapping around.”

“This bag was the reason I got the car. Storage space was a concern, especially as a university student I was moving my belongings every year and a room's worth of stuff is a lot haha. This bag is perfect for some bulky items in the middle with soft clothing or items around it to fill the gaps. 50l is huge and great for weekend trips etc too! The anti-slip mat works great along with the rubber floor part of the bag. If you pack it too full the velcro doesn't seal the zipper so it may not be as waterproof but I've never had a problem. The straps work on the boot even with a small ducktail spoiler, but I do not recommend it as it isn't ideal.”

“Great product. I've had this for my Mk3 roadster sport (retractable hard top) for the past 4 yrs and love it. It's completely waterproof, even when driving to the south of France in torrential rain. You can't retract the hard top whilst it's on obviously, but it will sit happily on the boot with the roof up or down.”

“hi i have had large suit cases on my rack without any problems but must remember to take the case if you lower the roof works fine when down so this bag should be great.”

“As I had recently fitted the excellent boot rack to my mk3, my wife bought this for me to go with it. Although designed to be strapped directly to the boot-lid, I am happier with it attached to the rack. It really is well made and the only problem I can see is limiting my wife to a maximum of 15 kilos. We are off shortly for a long week-end and, as my wife pointed out, with our "stuff" in the Boot Bag, this keeps the boot free to bring back other "stuff" that we did'nt take with us ! Bless her.”

“We've just returned from a two week holiday to France and bought this boot bag the day we were due to board our ferry at Portsmouth. We visited MX5 Parts to collect it and they couldn't have been more helpful. It took our two bags freeing up the 'rear parcel shelf' enabling us to lower the roof for almost all of our two weeks.It's easy to use and fit but needs a little getting used to which comes with practise.Criticisms? Price feels a little high, security is a concern if you are leaving the car for any length of time (padlocks would help) and the plastic(?) buckles don't like too much stress. Overall we are very happy with it and would recommend it for touring.”
