A fantasic alternative to a luggage rack! These superb quality, 100% waterproof bags give a massive 50 litres of extra storage space and can be fitted and removed in minutes. Made from nylon coated PVC which is then high frequency welded so there are no holes from sewing for the water to get in. Measures 70cm x 36cm x 20cm making them suitable for just about any car with a boot lid!

No metal fixings, so no damage to paintwork:

Please Note: These are also suitable for the Mk3/3.5 retractable hardtop and Mk4 RF models. All you need to ensure is that the bags straps are loosened and the bag moved back slightly to allow enough room for the roof to operate.

“We purchased this item a couple of days before embarking on a tour of North and West Wales. The bag is well made and was absolutely brilliant. Easy to fit and remove and held both my wife's and my clothes for the whole week. On the final leg of our journey home we encountered heavy rain on the M42 and M40 but the bag did not leak at all. Well worth the money and £5 cheaper buying from MX5 parts.”

“We bought this bag along with the Roadster bags for our trip to France this year. Whereas the Roadsterbags are of superior quality the Boot Bag looks a bit second rate in comparison and does seem a bit expensive for what it is. We are sure that it will do an excellent job but it could be a little cheaper.”

“Excellent bag, personally tested up 140mph. Completely weatherproof and never moved and inch on my boot. Prefer this to a boot back, as airflow doesn't get caught under the rack. It just flows over the bag.”

“Wow! First impressions upon receiving the bag, I thought it was a lot of money for what it was. It was only until I actually used the bag that I realised it was money well spent. Not only does it gives you that extra storage for when we go away on holiday, but it very easy to use. Once in place dosen't move. Don't over pack the bag and try to pack more items towards the rear (away from the zip) than the front to prevent the weather proof flap from exposing the zip to the rain (probably the makers could fit a velcro strip to hold the weather proof flap in place).I certainly would recommend one.”

“I bought one of these about a year ago and have used it for several holiday trips. It's brilliant, holds a lot of luggage and doesn't move once fitted. It is provided with a non-slip mat which protects the boot lid and secures the bag. On arrival at the destination it is removed leaving the car 'au natural' until the return trip.Downsides - it obscures the high level brake light and it's difficult to keep the zip covered (for waterproofing) when full (stuffed!). Would recommend it.”
