“Really Sets off the rear end of my stormy blue MK3 3.5! I had the same problem as some other buyers. Where one corner would not stick properly. I gave up on first attempt. Ordered more tape online and added another full application adjacent to the old tape. Pealed off the new backing and used a hair dryer to heat the tape and the whole surround. Then applied to the lights as everything cooled it stuck to the lights like glue. Fantastic finish well worth the money and extra effort.”

“While these trims add that finishing touch to the tail lights, the fit is far from perfect. Is it the curvature or just inferior adhesive on the tape? Despite every effort and following other reviewers top tips, my surrounds just wonÆt fully fix in place.”

“Very disappointed in these trims all i can think of is they where moulded in a very poor quality mould they would not sit flush to the rear lamp lens without stressing them then the adhesive breaks lose would rather have not bothered with these a waste of money”

“One side (passenger)stuck fast.the drivers side does not fit properly on the thickest part of the light (middle of car)there is a gap of 2mm between the light and the chrome and it looked awful tried to remove to add more tape to make it stick and the bloody thing snapped.I know no one else seems to have had this problem but mine have ended up in the bin and damaged the paintwork.very very pissed off.”

“Great product as per previous reviews.Advice from MX5 parts, "Fit on a warm day" and clean well.Also on advice from a friend used clear waterproof silicone sealant at places and used masking tape to hold overnight.Job done!”

“Just fitted these and they look absolutely superb on my aluminium roadster. Cleaned lights several times with surgical spirit and they have stuck perfectly. Excellent tight fit and look ex factory. Highly recommended. Look very very good when chrome mirror trims plus seat backs also fitted.”
