“Fitted these to my MX5 no problem at all. The fit perfectly and are stuck solid. They have been through very heavy rain and I doubt if they will fall off with normal use. Ecellent product that really sets off the back of the car.”

“These are a 'must have' add on for any MX5. Really finish off the rear lights. Had a problem with first fitting but I obviously hadn't prepared the surface correctly. Bought more alcohol wipes and more 3M tape and gave it a second go. Success !! The finished look is fabulous. Thanks again for prompt delivery.”

“Further to last review. Having tried what I suggested I can't get these to stick satisfactorily, I noticed today that the edge was lifting. The casting does not wrap around the light enough so the side section has too much lift, the casting is not flexible enough for the tape to hold. Others here have had no problem so I wouldn't want to cast doubt on the product but I am going to use a contact adhesive suitable for outdoor use. That should stick the wee blighters!”

“I could see how these would fall off. The tape is good but the casting of the pieces can mean they don't sit perfectly on the lens, are slightly raised in places so the tape cannot do its job. Perhaps a thicker tape would be a solution to take up any gaps. The 3m tape is good on all the other chrome effect pieces I have fitted. I have ordered a reel of thicker tape to get a solid fit. Product is good otherwise.”

“The first set arrived with the tape so lacking in adhesion that the backing wasn't stuck to it-even in the sealed bag. They were replaced when they couldn't stick on the car even whilst fitting them.The second set were slightly better, but after very heavy rain before Christmas, water got to the tape near the number plate, and one began to peel. Eventually at speed, it fell off, though I did find the pieces later. The third set lasted a little longer, but torrential rain saw another one start to peel near the number plate again, and then, once more at speed preesumably, a combination of turbulance and driving rain meant that it too vanished.They always come off complete, leaving no trace of the tape on the light itself, so either the tape isn't capable of sustaining adhesion, or they are slightly too tight a fit which stresses them, so they peel to relieve that stress, and water does the rest. I cleaned the lamp with MX5parts cleaner before fitting to ensure a good bond, but to no effect.”

“OOh shiny! easy to fit (the difficult bit is getting the backing off the tape)but warm them first as it helps them to stick.”

“These chrome rear light surrounds are very easy to fit since they fit perfectly onto the rear lights.They make the lights even more beautiful and complete.MX5 parts only took 2 days to deliver them to Gibraltar where I live.”
