“Well made cover with nice little wing mirror gloves. Fits fine on my NC, but the elastic on the rear is just a little too loose. Not a problem after taking up the slack with a knot.”

“This one seems to be made of stronger material and should last longer, while it's just as easy to put on, take off and fold up. I'll be buying a spare because I don't have a garage.”

“The half cover in my opinion is a god send and can save you a lot of grief with water ingress especially the front grommets and rear drainage channels which are protected by the cover. I have just bought my second one in readness for when the cover deteriates. Excellent protection for frost and snow, saves time in bad weather getting into the car. Elastic does fail after about 2 years, but a knot solves the problem. They are a little expensive, but at .50p a week for 2 years thats a winner, especially if you love your MX5.”

“Some people have pointed out that the straps stretch; when this happens, I just tie a knot. Eventually, the straps will tear and the cover will either rip right down the centre (the left and right sides literally came apart in a storm) or it will lose its waterproofing, but it's still a good cover because it is quick and easy to put on and take off - especially when it's too cold and wet to spend time fiddling about. It flies up off the car like a kite in high winds, but this has the effect of giving your car a blow-dry and my mohair roof is as good as new after three years of using these covers. Tip: Just make sure, when you're removing it, to fold it the same way so you won't be standing around in the rain trying to figure out which is the front or back. I keep the "ears" (wing-mirror covers) and front strap folded together, then roll the rest of the cover, wrap the back strap around it and stuff it into its carrier bag with the size tag showing. I have just realised my spare cover is no longer waterproof so I'm buying another one.”

“These covers aren’t really suitable for outdoor use. The elastic goes slack within a few months and after a year the fabric starts tearing. We're on our third in six years and it would have failed completely if not for except for repairs with a sewing machine. Also had to reproofed it.”
