Aluminium Pedal Cover Set Mazda MX5 Mk2/2.5 Reviews

4.9 Rating 27 Reviews
Read MX5parts Reviews

Fantastic quality pedal cover set for the Mk2/2.5. Consists of a footrest, and three pedal covers made from aluminium in a brushed finish with an anti slip top. No need for drilling, the clutch and brake cover simply slide on in place of the original and the accelerator screws on using the existing holes in the pedal. These have been designed to be as close to the original size as possible, making them far easier to use than the usual "over sized" aftermarket pedal sets. They come nicely packaged with all the required fixings. Suitable for both left and right hand drive cars.
Fits all Mazda MX5 Mk2/2.5 models, 1998>2005 with manual gearbox only.

Nightmare to get brake pad on(even with fairliquid)!....the other three much easier.A bit scuffed & the price I feel excessive for the material but they are on now!& no way am I replacing that darn brake pedal EVER again!!!...I suggest wear gloves and fit frm top to bottom then twist slightly to get bottom corners insitu!;()

Throttle and foot rest are nice and easy with screws and bolts provided to secure them. Clutch and brake pedals require you to slip off the old rubber to leave you the bare metal pedals. Then slip on over the new pedal covers. This took a little effort but managed to get them on after a few attempts. Once these pedals are fitted they look and feel fantastic. Very pleased!

Look and feel excellent, give plenty of grip and went nicely with my alloy gearknob and trim. Definitely use washing up liquid to fit the clutch and brake pedals though, it was impossible without it.

I managed the B&C pedals without fairy liquid. I opted to drill into my original foot rest and it's worked really well. Fitted several months ago and, with a bit of a wipe, still look brand new. No visible degradation to the rubber and one scuff mark which shines a beauty and makes them look even cooler. Heartily recommend

Finally had to replace the original pedal rubbers, so decide the would be smarter than rubber, only on minor complaint is that there should of been two small nut and bolts to attach the accelerator pedal but only one was supplied the other was a screw, called and left message with their customer services department to check their stock.Best to apply washing up liquid to the edges of the clutch and brake pedals, start with attaching the bottom edge then work the left side on pushing over too the right side and then pushing upwards this over the top edge with drilling the foot rest and screwing this 15 minutes

Fantastic, changes the look instantly, much improved grip. Easy to fit, clutch and brake need a small tool to help wrap the rubber around the pedal, I used a small flat blade and they were on in 2 minutes. The foot rest however comes with 3 "self tapping screws" which goes directly on top of the original. The original is made of a very hard plastic, so you will need to use a centre punch or drill a small hole and use force so that the screws do not slip. This is only a 10 minute job and well worth it.

Really nice upgrade! Look and feel awesome when fitted. Brilliant grip from the rubber dimples. Throttle just bolts on. Foot rest self taps into the original plastic rest. Brake and clutch... that's where you'll struggle! Some mention below using fairy liquid, but for me, heating the rubber backing with a hair dryer for a few minutes did the trick. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these.
