Had these fitted by Carl at CBS in Nelson - good guy! - before we took our Z Sport to France for two weeks and can only say what a joy they've turned out to be! The car looks good on them and the handling is spot on - I'll be having the alignment checked in the very near future. We scraped the underside - centre box I think - twice getting on and off the ferry but I think that's because we had two adults and their luggage on board, so just be careful!Great buy at a great price!

I made so much fuss about buying these springs and changed my mind a few times - cancelling one order and returning another set unopened (i was worried about increased insurance and scraping on speed bumps). In the end I couldn't resist having them fitted (by Mx5 parts) and am delighted with the results. The car looks much better and the handling has improved dramatically. A few months prior to fitting the springs I had a 4 wheel alignment carried out at WIM. This improved the handling considerably and I decided that the alignment was probably responsible for the major gain when lowering and aligning an mx5. Now that I've fitted the springs I would say that both parts of the package play their part and the car has taken another leap in terms of handling and feel. Turn-in is so much better and the car feels more agile and has less body roll. I have read concerns about the car being under-damped with these springs and the standard Bilsteins (on my 2.0 Sport). I did notice some bounciness from the rear on a fast, bumpy A road on one occasion but the overall gain far outweighs any disadvantages. Speed bumps have been fine but I've been slowing down more than before, so no scraping. My insurance didn't charge any extra when I told them about the springs, either.I've yet to drive the car on a track but can't see how the car could be anything other than an improvement over stock. Coilovers were overkill for my needs as I don't drive that fast generally and only do occasional trackdays.

@ Loraine McDonald - "Like James I'm also considering buying these but I would like to see a before and after pic of a car fitted with them to give me a better idea of how much the car is lowered. If anyone can send a pic Id appreciate it. loraine.macdonald@tesco.net"Very unfair giving 3 stars in review of an item(s) you haven't bought or fitted yet!

I anguished about buying these for far too long, I took the plunge and ordered a set and fitted them the easy way, well my local garage fitted them and adjusted the wheel alignment at the same time. (To be checked again within a few hundred miles)Money well spent, the ride is good and the cosmetic effect, the real reason for me getting them, is excellent. Makes the car look as good as it should have from day one.Go on take the plunge and get a set, well worth the investment - for that is what this is - the car will look GREAT !As usual excellent service from MX5 parts

Hi, had these fitted to my standard 2.0 NC on 16 inch wheels by BLiNK Motorsport in Cheshire. The ride quality is improved, smoother over rough surfaces. The ride height looks lower than a 30mm drop but I have no way of being sure as I did not measure it pre-install. Having said that it looks great and has not caused any issues. We have a lot of pot holes and canal bridges etc but no problem. I would like to make it clear that correct accurate wheel alignment or geo is essential after fitting, also to avoid fitting issues find someone who does these on a regular basis. BLiNK race the cars and where able to customise a set up on their Hunter equipment to give me what I was looking for on normal roads. The combination of these lowered springs and wheel alignment have transformed the car from just fun to epic. The whole handling experience is tighter and sharper, flatter cornering, more accurate steering etc, motorway driving quieter and more relaxed. The springs are cheap, the install and set up are almost more important. This is the only thing I have changed on my car and the difference is well worth the outlay. Great fast service and communication from MX5 parts.JP.

Fitted these to my Z-Sport and I am very impressed. Surprisingly, both the handling and ride are much improved and the ride quality is also much better. There is normally a compromise to be made with upgrades like this, but I can honestly sat these are better in every respect than the original springs. The car sits a little lower, but not too low, the ride comfort is better, and the handling is brilliant. I got the alignment checked after bedding in the springs, and it was spot on, so no adjustment required. all in all, this is a fantastic upgrade for the price, with no downside, so I would highly recommend you get some fitted ASAP - you will not be disappointed.

Great hight for normal use, can get over speedbumps easily. Gives the car great handling. I installed it with new swaybars = win :) Better looks and better handling - go for it!

Fitted the springs to my 2.0 MX5 Sport. They imeadiately transformed the look of the car and improved the handling. After I have done a few hundred miles I will get a four wheel geometry check and adjust to comply with the shorter spring lenght of the new springs. One problem I did have with the springs was the fact that they did not have any indication/labelling as to what pair were the front ones and which pair were the back ones! I fitted the thicker diameter springs to the front and the smaller diameter springs to the rear. Subsequently I rang the sales & enquiries number and was told I had in fact fitted them correctly. To save any confusion over this the front and rear springs should be labelled as such.
