“CanÆt fault mx5 parts but this air filter sounds like a bloody hoover and not in a good way. Not the normal sucking noise you expect but a constant drone itÆs nasty”

“Have just fitted this to my mk2.5,as others have said the instructions are not wonderful and the bracket supplied is rubbish.Apart from that the car sounds better and the filter does look good,was great to get rid of the old filter!!”

“Very pleased with the delivery and also the product and was easy to fit with the exception of the bracket supplied, it was to short to hold the filter in a horizontal position and also it had two vertical fixing holes when it should have been wider with two horizontal holes. The sound is great its a pity that the bracket supplied is a disappointment. G Griffiths”

“Nice bit of kit but instructions could be a lot better. Easy to wrongly assemble filter at an angle so that it is not wedged square to the water bottle. Also, as others have said, the hole for the sensor is crude and does not tightly hold the sensor in place which causes idling to become erratic when it partly falls out.Only slightly noticeable increase in performance and sound is not greatly different.”

“Nice and noisy!Easy to fit if you have any kind of technical ability at all and well worth it for the extra noise from the front of the car, it really balances out a noisy exhaust and provides a nice growl even at half throttle and 2k revs.Do not fit this if you want a quiet car, it sounds like you're driving aggressively to other drivers, but if you can live with that or don't care then go for it, I'd certainly do it again.”

“nice to see pipercross now give you a blue sillicon hose to join the filter to the MAF. where as before you clamped the filter to the MAF using the alloy neck which was a poor design and came loose after a while, so five stars for that. only bad things about this kit is that they is no heat shield, the bracket which supports the filter only uses one bolt on the MAF. so i will be making one that uses the two bolts. the hose clips that come with the kit are cheap.”
