Anti Roll / Sway Bar Kit MX5 Mk3/3.5/3.75 Reviews

Together with I.L.Motorsport, we have produced this aluminum sway bar kit for all Mazda MX-5 Mk3 from 2005 and later. The kit is made in AL7050, includes new front and rear sway bar, new bushings and brackets, and is TÜV certified for the European market. The photograph was taken during the TÜV testing for product stability. After 1,000,000 cycles on the testing machine, bar stiffness suffered no loss. This is a 35% stiffer and 45% lighter sway bar set, and with TÜV testing and certification, it is legal for use throughout Europe. The effect is to really flatten the ride. The car feels like it is on rails with minimal body roll even on hard cornering. We have this kit fitted to our own car and I have to say that the ride is now 'near perfect' :-))Fits all Mk3, Mk3.5 & 3.75 models, 2005>2015

I was initially concerned that I was just kidding myself that the car felt so much better with these fitted, but no, they really are that good, as other reviewers have said. Response on initial turn-in is better and cornering stability is improved. Well worth the expense and fitting fairly straightforward, although I did have to fit new drop links as the old ones resolutely refused to come off in one piece due to seized threads.

definatly a recomended upgrade! has compleatly removed the twichy steering and steering wheel jerk caused by potholes that you get with the standard rolebars. i was very surprised by the difference these make. they have increased cruising speeds through sweeping bends by 10mph. also they have cut down the amount steering wander under hard acceleration. b4 fitting these my 5 could wander nearly 2 feet off line in either direction after fitting it stays on its line. seriously i cant not recomend these highly enough, whats more if you combine these with new shocks n springs and a good wheel alignment you make your mx5 ride and handle like a 100k supercar!

Handling is improved but wouldnt say it has transformed the car. I fitted these along with the eibach 30mm springs. The car is noticeably lower and takes sweeping corners flatter and with more confidence and a bit more enthusiasm than before. There remains some body roll especially if you transfer weight from one side of the car to another quickly however it’s a reasonable comprise on British roads as the comfort levels remain good; the same as before (Mk3.5 sport tech). If you want to transform the car for the track these won’t do it. Id try the eibach bars with the polyurethane bushes. I’m happy with the compromise as I’ve got to put up with the ride for 1.5 hours a day!

These must be the best bang for buck, easy to fit suspension upgrades available. The reduced roll is remarkable and the car generally feels more planted and go kart like through the twisties. Ride quality is unaffected with the standard suspension. The only problem I had during fitting was two of the front bracket mounting bolts sheared on removal, overcome by drilling out and welding on captive nuts.

Had these anti-roll bars fitted to my MX5 3.5 Sport Tech 2.0 litre two weeks ago by MX5 Parts in Portsmouth and completely transformed the handling. Constant bump steer and twitchy feel of the standard MX5 Sport is gone to be replaced by accurate steering with noticeably less body roll and far high entry and exit speeds. Interestingly, the ride has also IMPROVED. This sounds counter-intuitive but the stronger but much lighter aluminium bars seem to counter the Bilsteins and revised springs of the 3.5 Sport and give the almost perfect ride for a fast road / occasional track day car.

Just had these fitted to my mk3 sport by Blink motorsport. I'm impressed with them. stiffer than standard, matched front and rears and lighter than standard. I have noticed (as have the other reviewers) that cornering is much flatter and more stable making the car much more fun!I have H&R lowering springs which also help but I always thought the car was no stiff enough in the corners. Coilovers wasn't an option for me considering my budget so these fit the bill and very happy with it.
