Anti Roll / Sway Bar Kit MX5 Mk3/3.5/3.75 Reviews

Together with I.L.Motorsport, we have produced this aluminum sway bar kit for all Mazda MX-5 Mk3 from 2005 and later. The kit is made in AL7050, includes new front and rear sway bar, new bushings and brackets, and is TÜV certified for the European market. The photograph was taken during the TÜV testing for product stability. After 1,000,000 cycles on the testing machine, bar stiffness suffered no loss. This is a 35% stiffer and 45% lighter sway bar set, and with TÜV testing and certification, it is legal for use throughout Europe. The effect is to really flatten the ride. The car feels like it is on rails with minimal body roll even on hard cornering. We have this kit fitted to our own car and I have to say that the ride is now 'near perfect' :-))Fits all Mk3, Mk3.5 & 3.75 models, 2005>2015

These are excellent ARBs that do make a considerable difference in flattening out roll on corners, however, it must be remembered that no one part of suspension mod must be carried out in isolation. My Mk3.5 is a Sport Black model, to all intents and purposes a Sport-tech model, this means it comes as standard with the Bilstein shock absorbers, I have also had the -30mm Eibach springs fitted. The car has done in the region of 8500 miles. What I have notced since fitting these ARBs is that the car is a bit more jittery on road surfaces with unevenness at high frequency, close washboarding if that makes sense to anyone, it just seems that the shocks are less able to react to this particular road surface, conversely, if you are on a road surface with deep wallowing humps and bumps, the car itself wallows a bit. Perhaps time for me to be reviewing the shocks themselves and get all these part working together rather than against. Overall though I am pleased with this product it has made a noticeable difference ton the car's cornering on ideal road surfaces.

Contrary to other reviewers, I didn't notice any significant change in the handling of my Mk3 which disappointed me. My car has never wallowed when cornering although there was a slight roll when cornering hard. I was expecting a 'flat' feel when cornering after fitting these sway bars, but alas largely the same as before. I wonder whether my ZSport with it's Bilstien suspension was firmer when cornering than other models and so lessened the impact of these sway bars?

This is an extraordinary product! The car ride is fattened and more km/h can be achieved in every turn! The ride comfort is not affected at all and you always think that the car can turn even faster...This product combined with MazdaSpeed shocks and eibach pro-kit springs (as I have) is the perfect combination for a road and track use car.Very happy customer:))

Best value and lightest Anti Roll Bar set I could find for the Mk3. Great price and very good quality too. Although not adjustable they give the car a great feel without making the ride comfort any worse. Also save weight over the original bars. This is the only set I have seen that are made of Aluminium but that didn't put me off as I think it is a great idea and the testing carried out for the TUV gave me confidence. The rear is very easy to fit without needing to remove anything but the front is more difficult. The car needs to be lifted off the ground and the the inner arches opened up to allow the front bar to come out. The mechanic also said the radiator needed to be moved slightly on its brackets to get it out.
