Was not the simplist install with the instuctions seeming to be more confusing then helpful at many points even instructing you to damage you AFM as the first thing to do. using the help of these reviews or youtube is the best way to go. after install the best part is of course the look. its makes your engine bay appear alot more serious and sporty. but as far as performance benefits this is not the way to go, though you should not be purchasing this for that purpose. the vacuum noise is also very cool and sporty. overall a good product for the price. P.S you may aswell throw away the cold air pipe as it is 10000000% not possible to install haha

Filter is great, but the pipe is a bit useless. There isn't much in terms of options for routing the pipe to the front, and it ended up hitting the floor while driving which destroyed the front of it. After removing it, there is no noticeable difference in power. Would still still recommend it for the filter, if you can manage to get it without the pipe I'd go for that. The filter itself seems to have improved throttle response a bit and gives a much better sound than before.

Installed this in the rain Saturday - if it hadn't been for rain interrupting play, and a middle-aged man's lower back, it'd have taken me about an hour and a half.Agreed as elsewhere here - ignore the first stage in the instructions. There is a small improvement in throttle response and sound - a a tad more rorty. However, I presently have the cold air pipe exiting somewhere in the wheel arch, rather than near the font of the car - a job for today

Merci

Got this as a Christmas present and fitted it Boxing Day. This product adds some much needed grunt to my 1.6 '91 mx5. It took just under and hour to fit and would have been a lot quicker if I hadn't dropped a bolt. It really is a precisely engineered product which is great as I am only 15 and working on this car as a project. In short if you want something that gives you a bit of extra power, a meaty sound and something that looks brilliant when you poem the bonnet. Get this.

Hmm not quite sure how to rate this .I have a 90 eunos with aircon and while the filter fits fine and gives a throaty bellow the cold air induction pipe seems a bit gimmicky.Besides the fact I've nowhere to route the pipe due to the power steering and aircon pump etc its just some flexible hoses that zip tie to the intake pipe so its basically useless and probably wouldn't add any extra power than without. Overall nice filter useless cold air pipe an overpriced for what you get and probably would be at half the price don't bother if you got aircon or your a boy racer and wanna say "wow look at my black flexible hose" :-)

Easily fitted in around an hour. The power steering pipes and plumbing meant a slight rerouting of the cold air feed pipe but it was fairly straight forward once a few more cable ties were employed. Be sure to remove the tiny clip on the air flow meter plug before removing the plug from the unit - it's thinner than a paper clip and easily missed unless you look carefully. Lift one end of the clip with a small screwdriver and it will spring out, but be careful to keep hold of it so it doesn't shoot off into the engine bay!
