“I ordered this during the Covid-19 lockdown which has crippled the postal services here in Cyprus.To my surprise and delight it arrived in 10 days along with a couple of other bits and pieces I'd ordered.Incredibly easy to fit and, while it might not make any audible difference, I found an interesting video on Youtube where it was tested against a couple of other reputable after-market filters. The K&N came out way on top with improved torque and bhp. Works for me!”

“Just fitted this to my 2002 1.6 Definitely running smoother with improved pick up and acceleration. Highly recommended and takes 1 minute to fit.”

“It's hard to rate this product accurately. I've given it four rather than five stars simply because who knows the real difference it does. However, that being said, everything about it seems a bonus:1. It is ridiculously easy to fit. On the mk 2.5, it's simply a case of unclipping two clips, sliding old one out, and this one in. 2. I know it's not meant to make any discernible difference in sound but I think it did. This might just be mind over matter but I'm sure i could hear the air intake and it sounded sweeter. But then I might have just been listening more than usual. 3. It felt much perkier straight off the bat. Pick up in each of the first couple of gears seemed more spirited and all of the gears above 4000rpm.4. Fuel economy def seems much better. And I'm sure im pushing it on the Rev limiter more. As I say these could all be very subjective and of the placebo effect but even if it's just a feeling, it's certainly worth the relatively low cost. It seems to do everything it promises. And you can't really ask for more than that.”

“HAVING BOURGHT THIS FROM BROOKLANDS AT SLIGHT DISCOUNTED PRICE, I CAN HONESTLY SAY IF IT WERE DOUBLE THE PRICE, ONE ITEM ALL MX5 OWNERS SHOULD HAVE IS THIS.. MAKES MY 1.6 MK2.5 BREATH LIFE IN TO IT.”

“This filter surprisingly made a difference on my 2.5 1.8. I immediately noticed a difference in how the car rev'd more freely compared to the after market paper filter I was using, which was about four times as thick. Easy to fit, takes less than a minute. Great service and delivery from MX5 parts.”

“Review:+good quality item+fits well+should last long+price is ok-no difference at all in performance and sound! all the info about increasing power etc is a load of ru%%%sh-it may not filter the air as good as standard filter, so in the long run it may affect the engine and reliability-but for this I dont have the proofwould give it a 3, but the service from mx5parts was perfect.summary: if you are buying this to enhance performance it will not, if you are buying it to feel better or not to have the problem with changing the filter, it may work;)”

“Fitted this one to my MK 2.5 SV-T after using a previous K&N induction kit on my old car (A hyudai coupe). I have to say that Im really disappointed with this product as it has made absolutely no difference to the car whatsoever! It Drives and SOUNDS exactly the same as the paper filter! Save your money and buy a piper cross one instead or splash out on a proper induction Kit if its the sound you are after!!Editors Note: Sorry to hear this product didn\'t live up to your expectations. Please be aware though that these are replacement panel filters, and although give improved air flow over the standard filter, will not give big increases in noise or performance levels. What you do benefit from with these filters is the fact they are of very high quality, and come with a 1 million mile warrenty so it will always be the last air filter you ever have to buy! If you particularly want a noise and performance increase, we would suggest trying the K&N Typhoon or filtercharger induction kits.”
