“Revs more freely, not too sure about any extra performance. A smidge perhaps but that negligible it could be just my subjective optimism. Happy though. Just keep giving the car what it deserves, the best. Having a BBR centre section and back box fitted tomorrow. So excited. Next stage I have any money all set for the BBR200! I love my car. I love MX5Parts! As ever delivered faster than blood products!”

“A snug and easy two-minute fit on a Mk3.5. I am sure that all the reviewers can't be wrong in that the car is smoother with a slightly better acceleration in the mid-range, the difference felt noticeable straight away. Even if this is a placebo effect it is worth 40 pound!”

“That was the best 41 quid Ive ever spent!!, Fitted to a NC1 1.8 and the difference across the rev range is incredible, much more lively up to 3.5k and then comes alive after that, I do have a sports back box fitted and the K&N combined sounds like a 5 should, Fuel consumption if anything has marginally improved, Excellent service from MX 5 parts, ordered on Friday night and was in my grubby mitts Tuesday morning.”

“This is simply the best upgrade you can make on a MX5. Quick arrival, easy to fit, marked improvement in smoothness of acceleration across the rev band, slightly more torque and I think slightly improved bhp. I was not expecting to this but it really is good on all counts.You will not notice that much change in engine tone at all, so if you are after sound improvement you'll need to look at exhausts.Great product, really pleased!”

“If you do nothing else to your MX5, fit this air filter. My MX5 2.0 Sport Tech 3.5 now has mid-range power and revs to 7500rpm freely. It shows just how much the standard OEM filter chokes the car's performance. Cheapest tune-up on the market!”

“If you can`t fit this in under 2 mins you shouldn`t be driving. Cleaner pick up on acceleration and smoother throttle response. Mind you my OEM filter was filthy despite Mazda allegedly servicing the car 3 months ago.....”

“good service from mx5 parts as allways, however the filter isnt all that ive had k&n filters on my last few cars and they have felt fine however on the mk3 mx5 it seems to make the cars intake seem stuffy and the standard air filter actually seems better for performance, ohh well live and learn, guess ill just have to buy the pipercross foam filter.”
