Excellent finish and look, but unfortunately unable to fit this to my NC2/Mk3.5, despite decription. Stopped 2-3 cms onto the lever. Discovered after purchase what I.L. Motorsport says: "Nicht geeignet für die Facelift Modelle !!!"

Super fast delivery. A very good quality item. Heavy metal with real leather, not cheap plastic. I can see why some reviews state they've had problems removing the old sleeve. Aware of this difficulty I proceeded as follows....1/ Carefully pull back the gaiter as far as possible without splitting the seam. 2/ Using a Stanley knife - Cut the stitches on the old leather cover and peel off. Note these are partially glued in place. 3/ Using the Stanley knife - VERY CAREFULLY and SLOWLY cut along the length of the hard plastic cover as far as the gaiter slot until you can feel the metal handbrake lever under the knife blade. I also cut around the base although this may not have been necessary. 4/ Prise apart with a screwdriver blade and work it around to break the adhesive, then pull the sleeve off. 5/ FITTING THE NEW SLEEVE - Line up the stitching to your liking (underneath or on top). Push the sleeve onto the lever as far as possible with your hand. They are a tight fit and will require tapping into place with a rubber or wooden mallet (NOT a metal hammer). Do not hit the sleeve the last 1/2 an inch without lifting the lever enough to free the button or damage is likely. 6/ Fit the gaiter into the groove.

Bought as part of my birthday present so haven’t received it yet. I did however see it in the box with other items I am getting and was surprised to see it loose as usually IL stuff comes individually boxed. Its almost like it had been laying around on the shelf as it was the last one in stock when I ordered. Fortunately it doesn’t appear to be damaged and should look good in the car

The fitting of handbrake sleeve took me 10 mins. It was very tight to slide down handle and needed a slight tap with a rubber mallet. This is a nice item for the price and looks good with the rest of chrome interior, once again very good service from MX5 Parts.

Fitting wasn't too bad, needed a tap with a wodden mallet to get it on snuggly. Once on it looks the business and really lifts the feel of the interior.(Satin)

Fitting was a doddle. The original on my Mk 3 just twisted off with its plastic fitting. The replacement just twisted back on. I fitted a leather gater at the same time again an easy fit. The two look far better than the stock parts.

Thought this would be a painful job after reading the reviews, but found it surprisingly easy! Original came off without a problem, and the new one just slid into place. Maybe the manufacturer adjusted the tolerances to make it easier to fit, but ended up to be a 5 minute job and looks far better than the stock part.
