All NewNow supplied as a silenced bypass pipe, in 100% polished 304 Stainless Steel, complete with all fixing bolts and gaskets.100% Stainless steel catalytic convertor by-pass pipe (cat replacement pipe). For the removal of the catalytic convertor from the exhaust system. All Mk1 1989>1998There are three different cats fitted to the Mk1, 1.6 or 1.8 upto 1994. This cat is 370mm in length.1.6 or 1.8 from 1994 to 1996. This cat is 440mm in length.1.6 or 1.8 1996/8. This cat is 475mm in length. A cat replacement pipe is NOT available for this model. The safest way to ensure you order the correct pipe is to measure the distance between the two mounting flanges of your existing cat.Supplied complete with gaskets and bolts. Please Note: As from January 1st 2012, the UK MOT laws changed regarding catalytic convertors. Any vehicle built after 1992, MUST have a catalytic convertor fitted regardless of whether or not it passes an emissions test. Any car presented without a cat fitted will fail. We would advise checking with your MOT tester before fitting this pipe if the car is being used on the road.
Even though this is a 'silenced' bypass pipe, the removal of the catalytic convertor WILL result in an increase in exhaust noise! Some like it, others do not. Beware!

Got the bypass at 0900am the following day and had it fitted by 11.00mm. Quality is exellent and fitting could not be easier.

Produit de qualité et livraison rapide.Le moteur respire mieux dans les tours. Le bruit est légèrement plus rauque sans effrayer les passants. Ce By-pass a remplacé avantageusement mon vieux catalyseur.

Just ordered one of these 'silenced' cat by-pass pipes to replace an old standard by-pass pipe. It was cheaper than the old standard by-pass pipe, better quality and has actually made the car slightly quieter! It doesn't appear to have slowed the car either. If your car is old enough, buy one, they're fab!!!!!!!!!

Fitted this along with a new stainless exhuast and the car sounds.......fantastic! It might be a bit loud for some, but it's not too 'over-the-top'. Wind the RPM's up and a gentle deep throb turns the car into a wailing banshee! Along with the K&N filter the car feels a lot free'er and not so restricted. Throttle response improved and the car redlines much easier than ever before for an ear to ear grin factor!Emmisions on the MOT for a '91 1.6 car was well within limits, not even getting close.Get one with your new stainless exhaust and be prepared to turn some heads and forget you ever had a stereo as the exhaust note is just so addictive!!!

Got it a couple of days ago (next day delivery). Had it fitted by mechanic at the same time as having my timing advanced. All done for £50. Mechanic was amazed at the price of the by pass, he reckoned best one he had seen and thought it was worth over £100! Didn't notice effects straight away, but after 20 or so miles of 'bedding in' - wow! Car pulls through the revs alot smoother and quicker! Nice subtle noise too.
