Further to my original review of this cover I offer this as an update to give an insight to potential buyers. I have recently purchased my third cover since 2017. In my own circumstances my "fair weather" car is parked off road, outside in a shaded position which only receives direct sunlight for part of the day. The car is uncovered approx every 7 days to "turn the wheels". Depending on the weather / time of year I have found that these covers (well made and a good fit on my Mk2.5) do indeed keep the car relatively dry but it is advisable to remove them weekly to allow condensation dampness to be dried out if the weather has been particularly wet. Approaching the two year mark, the covers begin to show signs of ageing - they begin to become "brittle" and small cracks will then appear which leads to some ingress of water. However, the cost of buying a cover every two years is far less than renting a garage. I would certainly recommend this particular brand of cover to anyone. A trick I have for getting the straps under the car to the other side is to attach the two straps one side, then clip on a heavy plastic bulldog clip which, by its added weight, makes throwing the strap under the car a doddle. Try it!!

Bought this cover for my new mk4, followed the instructions in detail but it didn't look right when on the car... switched it round end to rnd and it fitted MUCH better..the labels sewn into the cover indicating FRONT and back were the wrong way round... someone having a laugh ! Weather here in Ireland can be stormy and wet so will update with how it fares ..

Bought this cover for winter use and so far it has not let me down. After two weeks of laying snow and pouring rain the car is bone dry ( as is the underside of the cover) apart from a small patch of light condensation on the windscreen which is understandable given the recent temperatures. My shaded off road parking space faces north so the cover does well given that the area receives very little sun this time of year. A1 well made product and fits my Mk2.5 5 like a glove and is easy to fit and remove single handedly. A trick I have for getting the straps under the car to the other side is to attach the two straps one side, then clip on a heavy plastic bulldog clip which, by its added weight, makes throwing the strap under the car a doddle. Try it!!

This is the second of these I have had worked very well but seemed to disintegrate after about 2 years. The new one seems to have been redesigned, the rear is better, it covers the boot rack more comfortably. Pleased to see now has a 2 year warranty, so will see how it lasts, stayed on well in some recent high winds.

Bought this cover last winter. Very good quality. Light, washable, and easy to handle as well as breathable but not 100% waterproof which I knew that from the beginning. Nevertheless it keeps some water away and breathes at the same time so there is no damp trapped. Generally it fits perfect for my needs. The big problem is that the material made of, is so very attractive for all the cats of my neighbourhood. My car has become their sofa. And also is perfect for scratching their nails on it. Cover material is not strong enough to withstand such attacks and the result is an all over damaged and poked cover. Sometimes I consider giving them the keys for a ride...By the way, any suggestions how to keep the cats away would be more than welcome.

Have used this over the last two winters but it causes mildew big time. Needs removing every decent day to dry the inside of the car. Following the last lot of rain the inside was wetter than the outside. Have now dispensed with using this.

I was looking for a car cover that wasn't cheap and purchased a Monsoon car cover for my MX5. Over the winter period it was great but once the sun started to come out it cracked and tore very quickly. Lasted only 7 - 8 months which was a disappointment! This was my third cover in 4 x years. Now looking for a Cantilever car cover - Can the MX5 club offer one??Chris
