At least equal to the original in both quality and efficiency.Fits all Mazda MX5 UK cars AND Eunos RoadstersThere are three different cats fitted to the Mk1, 1.6 or 1.8 upto 1994. This cat is 370mm in length.1.6 or 1.8 from 1994 to 1997. This cat is 440mm in length.1.6 or 1.8 1997/8. This cat is 475mm in length.If the date of manufacture of your car is near any of the change-over points, the safest way to ensure you order the correct cat is to measure the distance between the two mounting flanges of your existing cat.Please note: This part is Not supplied with gaskets or nuts

“I had a leak from a weld after about 1 months use. Looks like a tiny rust hole.Mx-5parts says I should return it or fix it my self.Returning it will put my car in the garage for weeks. It should not be necessary to book time at a garage to fix new parts.”

“I bought this cat in april 2010. Since then, I drove aprox. 15000 km. Just yesterday my mazda didn\'t pass the dutch equivalent of the MOT. In the opinion of the garagekeeper, the only possible explanation was failure of the cat.I\'m not really content with the lifespan of my particular cat. “Comprato circa 4 anni fa. Ha superato la prima revisione biennale ma non la seconda (dopo 4 anni). Prodotto veramente deludente!Il materiale interno appare in ottime condizioni, non si vede nessun tipo di rottura.Ho rimontato il catalizzatore originale che ha 20 anni e funziona! Purtroppo ha le lamiere esterne che fanno un poco di rumore.Bought about 4 years ago. Has passed the first biennial review (MOT) but not the second (after 4 years). Product that is truly disappointing!The internal material appears in excellent condition, we do not see any type of rupture.I remounted the original catalyst that has 20 years and it works! Unfortunately the external plates that make a little noise.”

“I bought one of these for 1.6 Mk1 in February 2008 and the car has failed its MOT 2010 on CO2 emissions because of the CAT. I would of expected it to last more than two years.Editors Note: Sorry to hear you have had problems with this item. A member of our customer services team will be in touch shortly. We will happily return the item to the manufacturer for testing to see if the reason for the failure can be determined for you as this would now be the second cat you have had replaced in two years.”
