Next day delivery, excellent. Fitting easy enough once I worked out the best way of manoeuvring it into place. It's a tight (good) fit sitting flush with the backplate/plastic uprights. I put a small cable tie on each end to hold the protective strip in place.

DANISH/DANSK: Godt produkt til prisen! Sidder fint i munden, men skal dog lige rettes lidt til. På afstand ser grillen lidt bulet ud. - Anbefales!

Fantastic service (as always!) and the grille gives our black Mk1 a lovely 'smile'. Couldn't be easier to fit.

Great product, looks good and easy to fit. Problem is 70 mph it vibrates any suggestions on cure?

I had always felt that the radiator on an MX5 is particularly prone to damage from flying stones so while in the immaculate MX5 Parts showroom in Portsmouth I decided to buy a protective grille. I think it was good value at under £30 considering that I was quoted over £200 to replace the radiator on another car I own.I would liken fitting this item as being marginally less difficult than alligator wrestling but it was a close-run thing. It took something around an hour to fit it and I had to enrol my wife to help - a true sign of desperation. Before you jump to the conclusion that I am a clumsy klutz I would mention that I did once build a Lotus Elan from a kit so I am not exactly inexperienced in car mechanics. Now that it is on I must say that it looks pretty smart and I'll be much less anxious next time a stone flies up. Probably if I chose again I'd buy black as opposed to stainless steel but that's a matter of taste. I can't say if the change in airflow to the radiator will result in overheating as a don't think the air temperature has exceeded 6 degrees C since I fitted it but it might be a point to consider.
