“OK I managed to retrieve the grille without damaging it and this time tried sliding it in sideways, lining up one bolt and then doing the other. This is definitely the way to do it as it stops you pushing the bottom edge in too far (as I managed to do when attempting to install the grille 'front-on'). It would certainly be worth putting something in the instructions to this effect as this is also the way to avoid scraping the paint off your intake moulding.”

“Been at this fitment for 20 mins now, an inordinate amount of paint-scraping forcing required on my Mk2, having got it to the right depth in the aperture I now see that the bolt cutouts don't line up with the bolt positions, feel like I've gone past the point of no return and not entirely sure how to retrieve it for another go without damaging the grille.”

“Excellent bit of kit, took a whole two minutes to fit. Looks great & functional too! Instructions are fine, but you won't need them, It's pretty self explanatory.Other people have said about the bolts being a bit stiff, luckily mine weren't too bad (still required some forceful removing though!) So some Wd40 on them wouldn't go a miss before trying to fit..”

“Very good product for the money, looks classy and stops the bits going into the radiator. Easy to fit takes about 10 mins, just make sure you have WD40 handy and mind your knuckles.”

“Pretty good bit of kit. The bolts required to fit it were rather rusted but came off with a little encouragement and WD40.As stated, the grille only has rubber on the bottom half. This makes fitting it quite easy, but be very careful, as one slip to a small chunk out of the paint on my bumper! Though to be fair this is more down to my own hamfistedness.Sits quite far back in the 'mouth' so it's isn't too obvious on a darker car, which I quite like.4/5”

“FIRST CLASS DELIVERY 3 DAYS HAD A BIT OF A JOB UNDOING THE 2 NUTS AS USUAL 1 UNDONE OK. THE OTHER WOULD NOT UNDO SO I DRILLED A HOLE NEXT TO IT PUT NEW BOLT IN THROGH THE HONEYCOMB HOLE LOOKS GREAT. WELL PLEASED”
