About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

Being able to take this in a bag and use it to clean the cup when needed is great. No more embarrassing encounters when rinsing it out in the office sink. Easy to carry and store too.

This has made my daughters life so much easier. She says now she can go out and about a lot happier knowing she has this with her for tidying up in public toilets. This is all a new concept to me (im old school) but my daughter states how much it has changed her life for her. Now she apparantly pops in her used cup, shakes it about to clean it with water, removes the lid, empties it and pops it in her handbag nice and compact for cleaning properly at home. She is a very happy camper. She highly recommends anyone who uses a cup to get one of these.

Ideal cleaning device for not only mooncup but other menstrual cups. I used to have a little pot for cleaning my mooncup but I found it hard to store it and I did not want to mix it with my other cooking pots. This product works well. It is portable, lightweight, easy-to-use and it can be stored in a very small place due to being collapsible. I think the most hygienic way to clean my mooncup is in the microwave, although the water spills out. I make sure I place this product on a plate to avoid making a mess. I also like the cleaning method with the sterilising solution. If you are on the go and away from home, you can also opt for the “rinse, shake & go”. Overall, it is a well-made product, offering great and effective cleaning options for menstrual cups.

This little pot has a cute design and folds up small, so it’s handy to take out with you to help rinse your cup, and I’m really pleased to not have to boil the mooncup in any saucepans now that I have this to sterilise it at the end of my period. Much better to have something specifically designed for the job.

This is a great option for storing and sterilising a silicone menstrual cup (works with non-Mooncup brands too!). It couldn’t be easier to use!

The box says ‘using your Mooncup just got easier’ and it is so right.Having this means that rather than only using my Mooncup when I’m at home, I have more confidence to wear it when I’m going out, say to work or a cafe. Previously, it was not ideal to remove the cup and then be able to clean it, say in the work bathroom. What I like about this is the manual clean option. So, take it from bag, expand it, fill it with water and put the lid on. Go into cubicle and remove cup. Empty contents into toilet. Remove lid on the cleaning pot and insert cup, replacing lid. Shake. Remove lid. Remove cup and reinsert. Pour water from cleaning pot into toilet. Replace lid on cleaning pot. I tend to use tissue to wipe and wrap cleaning cup if I won’t be immediately washing it when I exit the cubicle. You can then wash it properly and dry completely at your convenience. I tend to microwave sterilise - not in work microwave! The fact it’s collapsible is great, so doesn’t take up room in bag.It can be very hot when fresh out of the microwave. Don’t forget to adjust time for the wattage of particular microwave.

I think everyone who uses a cup should have a cleaning pot and this one is perfect.Folds flat, lid comes on and off easily but stays in place when you use the ‘shake clean’ method (but keep your hand over just in case). Was super helpful when out shopping. Just keep a small water bottle in the your bag and you can give it a quick rinse in a public toilet if needed.I haven’t tried the microwave as it’s not my favourite option but follow the instructions and i see no reason there would be a problem. Also the little moon detail on the lid is a nice touch. Just because something is practical doesn’t mean it can’t be cute!
