About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

I barely have to think about my period throughout the day anymore, which is exactly how it should be.

I love my mooncup! I was expecting to have some difficulty at first but I got used to it very quickly and I can't imagine going back to pads or tampons. It's cheaper, better for the environment and more comfortable than any other option. I don't normally write reviews but I feel the need to rave about this - if you're on the fence you should definitely try it!

The Mooncup transformed my periods into something brilliant. All my life I struggled with tampons that sucked me dry or leaked all over the place. Pads were always an alternative but were bulky and made me feel self conscious that they might be ‘showing’. Once I found the ‘sweet spot’ for my Mooncup, which took a few months of perseverance, I would never ever, ever look back. My little cup of blood was the most happy and connected to menstruating I have ever felt. I’m now 8 years in, only needed the one cup, and heading into menopause. I dearly wish I’d had my Mooncup for the last 30 years. I’d encourage any bleeding person to give the cup a very good go. So clean, in control. The very best period product in existence.

Will never go back to tampons, have been using for nearly 4 years now brought this one as first replacement. Don’t realise they are there, don’t need changing as frequently and you don’t have to take your bag to the bathroom with you!

This Mooncup arrived very speedily and with no damages. I have since used it for three cycles, and would say that it definitely takes a while to master inserting, so don't feel disheartened if it is uncomfortable or even painful the first few times you use it. I think that this cup is a good size for those who haven't given birth vaginally/ for a first cup. It is also very useful to have the little bag to keep it in. However, I did find it very painful to insert and remove the first few times, so I would suggest either wetting your cup beforehand, or trying out a variety of different folds to see what works best for your body. I found it easy to clean and sterilise the cup, and have not noticed any discolouration, though this may happen over a long period of usage or if you weren't able to sterilise it for a while. Overall, I have genuinely had a great experience using this cup, and for my first cup, I am super pleased with it! The instructions are pretty clear, so I was able to learn how to use it quite easily. The only thing that I would improve is the stem/ stalk on the cup; it could be made shorter initially or there could be clearer advice on how to chop it off etc.
