About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

I previously tried a different brand without a trimmable stem and had an awful time. The mooncup was great and an absolute breeze in comparison! I’ve only used it for one cycle so far but I think I’m converted!

After a few cycles I got the technique completely down, no leaks or awkward sensations which has been great, especially when I'm out and about. It is quite firm which makes going to the bathroom with it in a little bit harder. I can still go, but out of personal preference I take it out when I can. I think I may need to get a softer cup because of that, but the size and shape work great for me and it has been a great first time cup experience.

This was my first time using a Moon cup and at first It was a little strange but now It has made my life so much easier! I get heavy periods so always felt uncomfortable and paranoid I was going to leak through my clothes or something. Since using Moon cup I don't worry about any of that anymore, I sometimes even forget i'm on my period. I highly recommend this product.

I think this is a brilliant choice of period product, if it works for you. I love its sustainability, knowing that I no longer use the millions of tampons I was going through each month. Also I think I've already paid for it back by the amount I've saved on single use period products. I would warn that a Mooncup definitely works best if you're in a familiar and safe environment, as it can take some time to get used to, and you will need the space and time to wash and reinsert etc. But if those elements work for you, then it's a really great product!!

So happy with my Mooncup! It took 3 cycles to get used to it, but now it is super easy. Highly recommend the investment.

My mooncup is fantastic! It took me a few cycles to get used to it, but trust me once you’ve got it down it’s a game changer! So much more stress free, I never have any leaks (just make sure the cup is fully open and you’ll be fine). If you’re thinking of trying it out, definitely do it! I waited for a while because I was nervous about it but I’ve never looked back now.

Having never been able to use tampons (the texture disgusted me and I was afraid of toxic shock syndrome - which luckily isn't an issue with menstrual cups), I wasn't expecting the transition from pads to a cup to be so easy. By using a Mooncup, I also learnt that I have a low cervix, so I had to cut off the stem for maximum comfort. Don't be afraid to modify your cup to fit you best! Overall, the biggest gamechanger for periods: I love that I am able to be more comfortable & secure while doing what's best for the environment, as well as saving money in the long-term. I'm never going back to single-use period products.
