About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

SO comfortable and easy to use :) was concerned at first that i wouldn't be able to take it out, but it's much easier than i thought. No issues at all and lasts a whole 12 hours, so i just change it in the morning and night. Thankyou Mooncup!

Using mooncup is the best things when I get heavy period, my skin still can breath & sometime I forget when I get period because I can do my activity without burden

Love the concept of these, took some getting use too fitting/removing wise but worked well. However I have experienced leaking with this product since getting the coil fitted.

I'm on my second period using the mooncup and I am loving it! I first heard about it in 2011 before zero waste was anywhere near on my radar. After hearing a couple of friends in recent months using it, I thought I'd give it a try. It's super easy once you get used to it (took me two days), it has reduced my period anxiety of worrying about when to change my tampon or if I might leak. As you can keep it in for 8 hours I pop it in the morning, change it in the late afternoon and then again before bed. It's a time saver and also feels a lot more hygienic, I'm getting used to seeing my own blood and a visual representation of how my bleeding is decreasing across the period. It's helped me to feel more in touch with my body, whilst doing something good for the environment and knowing I'm not putting any nasty chemicals into my body! Would really recommend. It's also a fab money saver as I don't need to go out and buy new sanitary products each month that will end up in landfill.

I've heard some horror stories about menstrual cups but this one is great. The only detractor is that I find I still need a couple of sanitary towels to catch leaks, so the environmental benefit is slightly reduced - the main selling point for menstrual cups seems to be 'you'll never need another sanitary towel' but you more than likely will.

Would have given it a 5 star, but I find that the rim is hard, and its uncomfortable when I have to remove it.Suction power is great, and it’s easy to use.I would need to buy a softer cup as this is my first cup.

I love my Mooncup! Once I have it in I cannot feel it at all which is amazing. It took a few cycles to familiarise myself with how it works but now it’s the only thing I use. You can leave it in for up to 12 hours which is great as you don’t have to worry as much when out and about. After your cycle you can either sterilise the cup in boiling water or give it a wash with fragrance free soap and then let it dry and pop it into the cotton bag provided until you are ready to use it again. It is also good for the environment as you only need one and it lasts you about 10 years. The average women uses 11,000 disposable sanitary products in their lifetime, so if you switch to a cup you are saving the environment as well saving yourself money in the long run. I definitely recommend trying a menstrual cup!Tip: when you take it out rinse it in cold water before hot water to avoid the cup staining.
