I have had cover with Eversure Car Hire Insurance on my last two trips to Bulgaria. My first visit to their excellent website gave me a sense of confidence that I was dealing with a well organized business. Their prompt confirmation of my cover and great quote made the choice simple for my second trip.

Windscreen crack costs was paid okay, but with errors. Instead of just querying or communicating with me, they just looked at the batch of documents and guessed what to charge, and applied their own exchange rate. They used the invoice from the garage instead of the invoice from my car hire company, with additional charges like car out of use and tax. And they ignored my bank statement which showed actual cost to me, after exchange rate. This happened twice. They carried out the wrong settlement (twice), but never queried/communicated with me. This is poor and inefficient competence.

Competitively priced. I had to make claim for excess. Very easy to claim on-line. Confirmation received quickly afterwards my claim would be paid. Only complaint is that there was an error with the processing of my payment - I had to call to chase this and sort. So delayed a few weeks.

A good cover at a great price. When collecting the car they didn't try to upsell as they understood the policy bought. Didn't have to use it thankfully but cheaper than the same offered at £7.00 a day by the car hire company.

I’ve started taking out car hire excess cover with Eversure every time I hire a car. The purchasing process is easy, the cover looks good. Fortunately I’ve never had to claim so I’ve not fully tested how good the cover really is. Hopefully it never happens but I’ll do another review and up it to 5* if it goes smoothly.
