“Purchase through Money Maxim was easy and cheaper than buying direct. CarHireExcess had the cover I wanted and transaction was fine. I have not yet needed to claim so have no idea how well that side of the insurance works, though others' reviews are fairly good.”

“Fortunately, I have not had cause to make a claim on my policy, so far. However, I am heading to Europe again in a short while and will be hiring another car. I have heard from others who have been to that particular destination that some car hire companies will not accept an independent excess cover policy, so we will see what happens when I turn up to collect the vehicle (have not yet decided on the car hire firm I will use). So far, everything has been fine in regard to the policy and I am hoping for more of the same .”

“Was easy to choose car insurance with car hire excess - it guided the choice well and allowed for competitive prices. MoneyMaxim Car Hire insurance seems like a good choice with good options. If I have to make a claim at some point I will review this and tell you how they were to deal with. But, meanwhile they are allowing me peace of mind when I hire my car abroad”

If you had to claim how happy were you with the way it was handled?

“Bought an annual policy, and had to make 2 claims during the year. Claims fully settled without any issue. Will look to renew policy when it expires without hesitation.”

“Used with a 7 day car hire for a trip to Cyprus. Easy to set up via the website. All went well and no claim was made so cannot comment on that aspect.”
