“I wished to ensure cover for my drive holiday which I took in the USA last year over a period of five weeks. Knowing how expensive it could be if my hired car was to breakdown or God forbid an accident Excess Insurance through the Carhireexcess. I used this facility some two years previously when in New Zealand. It gave my wife and myself peace of mind.”

“All very good, somebody reversed into our hire car overnight and cleared off. Police report made and necessary paperwork and photos taken. Paid €1200 to hire company and made sure I had all the forms and photographs they took of the damage. I was able to supply a full package of all the listed documents required by Car Hire Excess, which made thing so easy. The insurance company paid up with no questions asked and the money was in my bank within 2 weeks of returning to this country. Very impressed, I was expecting all sorts of questions and wriggling to get out of paying but none of it, paid up in full. If the worst happens abroad, concentrate on the paperwork, police report and photos to make life easy for yourself and the company.”

“Luckily I did not have to use it but as I was renting a car for 1 month it gave me peace of mind. And as I have taken an annual policy, I will have that same peace of mind for the rest of this year”

“This was easy to organise and a good price. However the true test of insurance is what happens when you make a claim. We haven’t had to do that so I can’t comment at all on how supportive this company is in such a scenario.”
