“The cake itself came wrapped in greaseproof paper inside, secured with 's' shaped packaging. The box itself was just a palin brown cardboard box (logo on the lid), but was very strong. Perfect for what I needed. The cake itselft tasted supurb and has been recommened (as stated above)”

I grew up with our mum baking and decorating delicious fruit cakes for all celebrations.
Obviously I thought everyone did the same.
Now, we are celebrating our mums 90th birthday, so rather than trying and failing to replicate mums special cakes, we plumed for a cake from Meg Rivers.
It took me back years, to memories of yesteryear.
Amazing flavours, rich and deep.
Ok, perhaps we would have liked a few glacé cherries in there, but mum’s recipe is obviously secret ❤️
We will be celebrating all future events with an amazing Meg Rivers cake, at least until I get my hands on mums recipe…..”
