Dear Miranda, Thank you for taking the time to review our Rich English Fruit cake. We are proud of how packed with fruits and nuts it it. However if you're looking for a cake for next year I would recommend our Almond Fruit cake is a much lighter fruit cake. Kindest, Customer Care
