Lamberts Eyewise Omega 3 60 Capsules is a food supplement that combines lutein, zeaxanthin, omega 3 fatty acids from fish oil and vitamin D3 in a one-a-day capsule. The 250mg of DHA in each capsule is the daily amount at which DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
**Key Features**
- **Lutein and zeaxanthin:** each capsule provides 20mg of free-form lutein and 1000µg of zeaxanthin, two carotenoids the body cannot make and must get from the diet.
- **DHA for normal vision:** 250mg of DHA per capsule, the daily amount at which DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
- **Omega 3 from fish oil:** 356mg of omega 3 fatty acids per capsule, including 56mg of EPA as well as the DHA.
- **Vitamin D3:** 5µg per capsule, which is 100% of the Nutrient Reference Value (NRV) for adults.
- **One capsule a day:** the 60 capsule pack lasts 60 days at the directed intake, and the fish oil comes from sustainable fisheries.
### What are lutein and zeaxanthin?
Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids. The body does not make them, so they have to come from the diet, most notably from green leafy vegetables. Eyewise Omega 3 provides 20mg of lutein and 1000µg of zeaxanthin in each capsule.
### What does the DHA in Eyewise Omega 3 do?
DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, with the beneficial effect obtained from a daily intake of 250mg. One Eyewise Omega 3 capsule provides 250mg of DHA.
### Is Eyewise Omega 3 suitable for vegetarians or vegans?
No. The omega 3 comes from fish oil and the capsule shell contains bovine gelatin. The product also contains fish, so it is not suitable for anyone with a fish allergy.
### Can I take Eyewise Omega 3 during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Lamberts does not recommend Eyewise Omega 3 for pregnant or lactating women.
