Pencil Tipper This tipper is taped on one end, it's easy to hold and easy to play with. Suitable for bodhrán players who only strike the skin with one end of the tipper. There are a lot of different shapes of beaters and most bodhrán players have a variety of beaters at their disposal. The type you use is all down to personal preference. “I’m probably using this wrong. I’m automatically getting scrape sounds with it. But to say the least, it’s a very elegant little piece of wood. And I’m now using it for a small array of wood blocks I’ve got. This pencil tipper combined with this other stubby block tapper and I’m increasingly becoming the John Cage of wood blocks now”

“great tipper I really like using this tipper. I did find the wire wrap was a little uncomfortable on my finger so I put a pencil grip on it and that made it more comfortable. This tipper is interesting sounding. It has a little snare sound to it. I find the weight is great and it feels natural in my hand.”
