Pencil Tipper This tipper is taped on one end, it's easy to hold and easy to play with. Suitable for bodhrán players who only strike the skin with one end of the tipper. There are a lot of different shapes of beaters and most bodhrán players have a variety of beaters at their disposal. The type you use is all down to personal preference. “I requested a split end in the description. I had done this in the past and it was no issue to split the end. This one came with no split end. When I asked about it they said we don't do that anymore. But it would have been better to know that before hand.”

“I’m probably using this wrong. I’m automatically getting scrape sounds with it. But to say the least, it’s a very elegant little piece of wood. And I’m now using it for a small array of wood blocks I’ve got. This pencil tipper combined with this other stubby block tapper and I’m increasingly becoming the John Cage of wood blocks now”
