The Celtic Triskele Bodhran Derived from the Greek word "Triskeles" meaning "three legs", the Triskele or Triple Spiral is a complex ancient Celtic symbol.
The Triskele gained popularity in its use within the Celtic culture from 500BC onwards. This archaic symbol is one of the most convoluted to decipher as symbolists believe it is reflective of many areas of culture from the time. “I bought this as a meaningful and personal gift for myself. Initially, I was torn between the raven design and this one as they are both so beautiful but I have no regrets. The quality of this piece is so evident in the materials, design colors, and workmanship. Everything about is real: real wood, real skin, hands that painted it and put it together. It doesn’t look printed and mass produced. Although the model I purchased will not be used for music, due to its 12” size and non-tunable skin, it is perfect for my meditation use and I love, love, love it! That being said, it absolutely COULD be used for beginners. It is gorgeous. I am still amazed by the craftsmanship of this instrument, how fast it arrived, how inexpensive it was to ship to Canada and how personal the experience was. I will not hesitate to purchase other instruments from this amazing company.”

“Our son had lessons in school in the weeks leading up to Christmas and added a bodhran drum to his Christmas list at the last minute. This gorgeous drum was delivered quickly and was well wrapped. In a lovely box with the drum and beater. The design is lovely and it’s very well made. It’s has been much loved since Christmas. Smaller than the one our son used in school but is a good, manageable size for his age.”
