The Rosewood Spoons
“These spoons are brilliantly crafted and make an ideal ornament.” - Alan P. We've been using spoons as a musical instrument for more than 3,000 years.   And they made their way into American folk music with the arrival of immigrants from Africa and Ireland, in the 18th and 19th centuries.
These particular bodhrán spoons are crafted from sturdy rosewood, which produces a dark, warm tone with a complex and satisfying bass. These bodhrán spoons are joined at the base which makes them easier to hold and play. Suitable for both beginners and advanced players.   ESTIMATED SHIPPING TIMES:  IRELAND (Next Day) UK (5 - 7 days) EUROPE (7 days) USA and CANADA (7 - 10 days) REST OF WORLD (10 - 14 days)

Nice tone. Easy to use. Watching videos online, one thing it doesn’t do so well is when you pass a finger through the spoons, doesn’t do anything unless you’ve a little pressure on them and very hard to find the right balance. Doesn’t sound quite as good when you do. Can do everything else though. Nice percussion instrument.

My Mother In-Law saw these on your website and fell in love so I decided to surprise her. She loves them! Great quality and amazing sound. Now she has to keep her band members at bay.
