“I’ve only played it a little as it’s meant to be for Christmas. It looks, feels and sounds nice and is a something a little different than a tin one. Came promptly and we’ll packaged all the way to Canada with the goat skin I ordered with which I have built a Bodhran.”

“I've been playing cheap whistles for many years and making the usual bodges to get them in tune. The Tony Dixon whistle is a pleasure, with a nice tuning joint which will make me more popular with other instrumentalists. I'd call the tone sweet rather than raucous or penetrating. It seemed reasonably priced to me and I hope do do some stuff with it!”

“The tone of these tunable whistles could be described as pure, mellow, sweet and slightly “chiffy”, their volume as on the quiet side. Being as such they are equally at home when played around the house, at a small session or when mic’d for stage or studio. Good value for money.”
