“I find this whistle easier to play than my Generation and Feadog D whistles. Its also a bit quieter than those whistles, so I can practice and not annoy other people in my house as much. Nice intonation also.”

“Very satisfied. I am very happy with my DX004 D whistle. It has the mellow even sound that I prefer. My other whistles produced a more shrill tone. The DX004 has a darker sound quality, without any loss of projection.”

“Great whistle. Like all whistles from Tony Dixon, this one has a very mellow and stable tone throughout the range of octaves. It is very moderately priced for such a great sounding, tunable whistle. I like the way the mouthpiece fits into the body , as it provides a rest for my thumb, and an aid in holding the whistle. And, as always, McNeela provides great and prompt service!”
