18" Non-Tuneable Bodhrán with Gig Bag
Sometimes it's best to go back to where it all began. This traditional 18" Irish bodhrán  is already a classic - the simple and pure provenance of its design means that the player can experience the joy of discovering this iconic Irish drum like the first bodhrán players.
The professionally handcrafted 18" goat skin bodhrán, by Paraic McNeela, is made with a hardwood shell and a single cross bar. It was one of the first styles of bodhrán Paraic ever made and is still close to his heart.

Hand-selected Goatskin
Taped for extended harmonics
Arm cut-out for comfortable playing
Single T-Bar

I purchased this bodhrán at Custys Traditional Music Shop in Ennis while on holiday through Ireland in March of 2015. I still play it to this day.

Nice drum and beaters! Still a novice, I really like this bodhran as it’s easier for me to hold and work the tone with the left hand. I also like the broader size to play on and the range of available tones. I also love the new tippers, especially the fiddle bow and the whip topper and the longer brush beaters. I’m now more motivated to practice. Appreciate the offering!
