Coniston Auto - CN7 Burnished Sienna Brown Leather Reviews

4.9 Rating 39 Reviews
I bought the Coniston Auto CN7 and an additional watch strap for my husbands Christmas. On arriving I opened the package to make sure everything was ok with the watch. I have to say I was blown away as to how fabulous the opening experience was, I wasn't expecting the packaging or how it would arrive. I packaged everything up so my husband could have the same experience. He had no idea that what he was about to open was a watch and equally enjoyed opening the watch and how it was all presented. The watch itself is very impressive and stylish, and my husband absolutely loves it. Being able to interchange between different straps, means that he can dress it up or down accordingly to his day. The style of the Coniston Auto CN7 is both stylish front and back, it is truly impressive. What he also liked is the story behind the style, and also there is also a limited batch, so it feels more unique. My husband couldn't be happier with his new watch, he was blown away.

This is my 2nd Marloe. I'm amazed by several things. It's easy to swap out bands with ease and there's a lot to choose from. Delivery is very fast. The quality is amazing...but most of all? The look. I find myself falling in love with the color and the hands the longer I own it. The yellow seconds hand is a lovely contrast to the blue color of the watch face. I know there's other micro brands out there. However, I've never felt as attached to a watch brand as Marloe.

The first mechanical wristwatch I’ve worn since 1975, the Campbell-Norris 7 is reassuringly redolent of the heritage it aspires to. I am not a dress watch person, I just like stuff that works, but men of all ages find it hard to avoid entrancement with kit, for the sense of control they seem to derive, whereas women are just less needy. However, anyone would find the look of this watch alluring: clean, open, welcoming, and that particular shade of blue is mesmerising and works so well with the pale ivory band. The one individual who has asked about it so far was gleeful at the discovery of the window on the golden gubbins on the back. There is just nothing that isn’t good about this watch. For reasons too tedious to recount, for the last two or three years I’ve relied on an iPhone for the time. I would be delighted to be in a position to never look at an iPhone again - and we will be back on hard cash and horses before you two hang up your loupes - but meanwhile, it is a small, quiet joy to find out what time it is. There is nothing about this watch that speaks of four-hundred hot, violent, sandy miles per hour - quite the exact opposite, which, in a world where balance is everything, is precisely the point.

I love this watch for many reasons. This is a watch that is truly special to me as a watch and something else. The dial work is outstanding. The finish is clean, the indices are razor-sharp, and the hands are perfectly proportioned, giving the dial balance and legibility in all lighting conditions. The color will shift hues depending on the lighting conditions. The lume is amazing. I was pleasantly surprised at the brightness and how long it lasted. It looks fantastic on my wrist. I have the Burnished Sienna Brown Leather strap that it came with along with the Lunar Grey Velcro and Sand Nato straps. All from Marloe. Happy with my purchase although the Velcro strap took some getting used to. Is it perfect? No, but nothing is and I love this watch for what it is. The movement, while dependable, is a little quirky. I do have to adjust it every so often. I am satisfied with the movement as it’s clutchless, hacks, and has a decent power reserve. I’m probably a little spoiled coming from mostly quartz watches. I have only one other automatic and that’s a 57-year-old Seiko. Where this watch shines is in the way it makes you feel when you wear it. Now here is the something else that I mentioned in the start of my review. For me, it’s not just about the watch, it’s about the memories it will remind me of. I bought this watch to honor my late dog, who passed away recently from cancer. We were together for almost 13 years, and he was one of, if not the most, important part of my life. Every glance at the dial is more than just checking the time; it’s a quiet reflection of the time we shared. The watch arrived the day before he passed and he was next to me as I unboxed it. I looked at him and told him why I bought the watch and I think he approved. He just looked at me and gave me that look of contentment. Sorry Marloe, but I have re-christened the watch The Murray. I’m sure you’ll understand. Apologies for the long review but I wanted to express how happy I am with this watch and why. I know I’ll find another Marloe to purchase in the future.

I've had to wait for the pleasure of wearing this watch as it is a birthday present but the wait has been worth it. It screams quality but my real reason for selecting it is the style and colours. Also lovely to have a link to the record attempt in that, as a kid, I helped my father, a dental surgeon, on a Saturday morning as he extracted a tooth from one of the designing team of the Bluebird.
