About KNOOPS:

Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

“Item still not received several weeks after purchase. I wrote to ask where it was a week ago, and immediately received an automated dispatch notification. So as far as I can tell, the item hadn’t been dispatched for more than 2 weeks. I received an email from customer service blaming Royal Mail strikes but I don’t think this is the whole story - I think they didn’t dispatch it promptly.”

Hello Helen We have sent you an email regarding this - the strikes have been completely out of our control and have been delays with Royal Mail collecting our parcels from our fulfilment centre. I can confirm your parcel is on its way and will be with you soon.

“New to the brand so I decided to buy the selection box. Each pack contains enough for one mug of hot chocolate. I didn't like the ones that contained less cocoa and found myself adding a spoon of another brand of hot chocolate in. The plant based vegan one was nice but quite sweet. The shards of chocolate mix better than other companies I have tried but they do eventually sink to the bottom or float to the top so need a regular mix. I didn't heat mine in a pan but microwaved it instead. I think pan may mix the milk and chocolate better. Over all I found the different strengths of chocolate either too light and too sweet or too dark and bitter. I really love the idea though and I am gutted I didn't let it as much as I would. I won't be buying again but no regrets buying the selection pack. If you don't try you don't know.”

Hello I am pleased to hear that the chocolate mixes well, to make sure that the flakes do not sink to the bottom, we recommend having them over the hob for the correct amount of time and temperature. For the best texture, we would recommend trying them with a shaker. I am sorry to hear that you felt the need to add something to the sweeter %s, but with the selection box, it will give you a wide variety of flakes to experiment with and discover your perfect percentage. Hopefully you can try experimenting with Knoopology with your preferred %s. Knoops

“This gives you a change to try other flavours that you wouldn’t particularly want a full jar of but gives you the option to try before you essentially buy. We absolutely love knoops and we’ve found some darker flavours that we like through the selection box.”
