“This item is a great idea in the early stages of recovery. But after a couple of weeks, if you are in a Vacoped boot, you are encourage to start weight bearing so it can become a bit redundant.
However for moving round the house with both hands free it ideal.
Only downside is i found it a bit cumbersome at times and there is no give in it so it can be hard on the back and hips.”

It looks a bit like a daytime shopping network special and it isn't cheap.
I ruptured my achilles tendon 2 weeks ago, I'm in a boot that completely immobilizes my foot and ankle. It's a nightmare getting anything done independently on crutches. I saw this and decided to go for it after seeing reviews and social media posts.
I am so glad I did.
For the first time in two weeks I was able to go to my kitchen, make food and then carry it back to the living room. I'm able to get things done, load the washing machine, cook, clean dishes all things that you don't realize how much you value until you lose your independence.
Is it as smooth as using your leg? No. It's a bit clunky, it's got a decent enough weight to it that makes walking require a bit more effort.
Shipping was quick and comms from company were good. My only negative about the experience is that I would prefer a printed manual/guide, that I could skim through at my own speed; that said the videos are very thorough and I can appreciate their value to some people.
I was up and hobbling within 15 minutes of taking it out of the box. Doesn't take much to adjust to using it. There was a bit of a learning curve to getting it strapped on properly and adjusted for comfort, especially if you are like me and are stuck in baggy shorts since the fabric tends to bunch up under the straps then shifts when you load it up. Take your time, take your first steps with support for balance, I used a single crutch for the first few minutes until I got used to it.
I don't regret my purchase and would recommend this to anyone who is going to be spending significant time in crutches and non weight bearing.”
“Totally liberating bit of kit. I'm 60 but pretty fit and strong (dong half ironmans and ultra marathons until this injury) but it did take a week or so to gain confidence using it particularly outside where there is no support going up/down steps etc. As others have said, persevere with it though as once you do get used to it, it's fantastic, enabling you to get around without crutches leaving your hands free - a massive boon considering I'm currently in the process of moving house! Would definitely recomment it.”
