“The cover itself is of good quality but the central stand that holds the cover above the table leaves a lot to be desired! In the end we abandoned it and used the part of the umbrella stand that is above the table to held the cover free. The stand supplied is too light to hold the fabric and failed to stand up. Poor design!”
“The cover appears to be of good quality and heavy duty, time will tell if it lives up to expectations.
Cover would be improved by having eyelets through which a chord or individual chords might be used to tighten the cover or to fasten the cover down securely to the chairs. The current system of a single point fixing for the chord through the cover is not adequate and prevents the cover from being tightened.
A spreader plate on top of the single “tepee” pole would spread the load on the cover above the table.”
“The central pillar that is supposed to hold up the centre of the cover is useless. It stands on two flimsy feet and falls over when you are trying to put the cover over the top. It is also so thin it is likely to tear through the cover fairly quickly. The instructions on how to fit it together are also useless. You basically basically have to guess how it goes together from the very small diagram which is enclosed. I wouldn't recommend this product.”
“To be honest, it is premature to ask me to do this! I shall not take delivery of the actual set of garden furniture, according to you, for another 6 weeks probably! Also, I am feeling pretty miffed as there were two parts to my order for furniture and you have only delivered thus far (John Lewis Order no. 246515310) the Kettler RHS Chelsea Garden Bistro Table and Chairs Set - and one of the chairs is damaged!! I sent you all details by email on 9 June 2020 and pictures of the damaged chair and the relevant paperwork, AND HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM YOU! Not even an acknowledgement of my email complaining. Not a good advert for Kettler at all.”
