“Bought tickets for my partner and I as she’s a big Jane Austin fan (and not a child ticket as it said in the invite to review the centre!) and although the guy who gave the talk knew his stuff about Jane Austin and the centre had a few artifacts on display the speech was punctuated with some poor humour and only lasted about ten minutes and then we were left to our own devices. The other staff were quite knowledgable about the displays but for the money I paid it was over rather quickly and the tea room on the upper floor was very overpriced. I assumed (wrongly) that Jane Austin lived in the house but it turns out she lived further up the road which is now a dentist so you can’t even see where she lived (unless you’ve got toothache)
All in all I wasn’t very impressed and the only saving grace for my partner was seeing the small amount of displays on offer.”

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I really liked the way they were dressed like the characters in Jane Austen's novels. It was the highlight of my trip to Bath.”
